Sand and Gravel Operations
Formally known as Kentucky Aggregate, Glass Sand and Gravel operation has been producing product for over 65 years. This operation is located on 560 plus acres in northeastern Hart County. With the completion of a state of the art production facility, Glass Sand and Gravel can produce multiple grades of material for its customer base.
All material produced at the sand and gravel operation is 99.9% cilica. Glass Sand and Gravel produces three grades of pea gravel. Glass's largest stone product, commonly referred to as Kentucky Pebble is used for landscaping, drainage systems and roofing materials. Moderate size product, known as Magnolia Pebble is used in landscaping, drainage materials, roofing materials and exposed aggregate concrete applications. Our smallest product, referred to as Pearl Drops is used in landscaping and exposed aggregate concrete. All product produced at the facility in used in landfill construction throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. The operation also produces concrete, asphalt and mortar sand.
All materials produced at the Glass Sand and Gravel operation have applications in swimming pool construction, dairy operations, bird nesting, masonry block, horse tracks and soil mixes for bagging operations, just to name a few.
